Pastor Jay Reimer

Jay Reimer grew up in Cherry Hill and became a Christian at Grace Bible Church in Mt. Laurel. He later served as an Assistant Pastor there and at Fellowship Alliance Chapel in Medford. Jay earned a bachelor’s in business at Drexel University, an MBA at Eastern University, a master’s in Bible at Dallas Seminary, and a doctorate in education at University of North Texas. Jay has served for more than twenty-five years in leadership roles in higher education and missions organizations, including at Cairn University. He has taught university courses in biblical leadership, communication, finance, management, and evangelism/discipleship. Jay’s wife, Missy (MacMichael) Reimer, grew up in Moorestown and is very gifted in ministry to children and families, having served as a teacher and then a children’s minister after earning her master’s in education from Cairn University. Jay and Missy are blessed with a 27-year old son (David) and 23-year old daughter (Jenny). Jay’s vision is that the Ocean City Tabernacle ministry would share the gospel of Jesus Christ with each Ocean City resident and visitor and help strengthen marriages and families with biblical teaching and care.

Dating back to Ocean City’s earliest beginnings, the mission of the Ocean City Tabernacle has been to serve, support, inspire, strengthen and connect members of the community. As the needs of area residents and visitors have grown, the Tabernacle has grown to meet them with meaningful family-focused programs and uplifting, non-denominational worship services where everyone is made to feel welcome and the Gospel of Jesus Christ is central.
